We are Wedderburn Cottages situated on the Central Otago Rail Trail - at Wedderburn and have 14 ensuited units from the Cottage Company. The cottage has been an absolute god send to us and we really appreciate the effort that you put in to make it happen for us. Even when snow was surrounding the cottage. I have been very comfortable, cosy and warm. We have been recommending you to everyone who asks us about it – not sure if you’ll appreciate that or not if you’re already loaded down with requests!

We wish to express our utmost appreciation for the ease in which you dealt with the delivery of our new Cottage on Friday 20 September 2013. Our brief to you was that we did not want the small hedge and block of concrete at the gate damaged; and our wishes were certainly fulfilled! The Team from Durham's Transport Heavy Haulage were 'bloody magic', their attitude and expertise shone through and made it all possible. It was a great sight to watch. We were extremely impressed with the relaxed professional way in which the awkward access to the property was managed by the guys and gal (Debbie the driver ), and also the amazing trailer which they used. It was a testing area to be negotiated with a water race and telephone demarcation point opposite the entry, over-head power lines, S-bend entry, shelter-belt on the south-side, our 'precious' laurel hedge! on the north-side and various concrete work whilst having to reverse into and along the driveway from a busy road. Piece-of-cake!! No worries! The two drivers from Mackley Carriers were helpful and professional, very nice guys, got stuck in and did what was needed to get the job done. We would very much appreciate your forwarding this email on to the appropriate people at Durham's Transport and also Mackley Carriers. We can not express enough, our gratitude to all concerned for all their efforts on the day.

Pat and myself would like to put on record our sincere thanks to you all at Cottage Co for the Customer Care you take. Ever since we ventured up to you in Templeton you have been customer orientated right through which has been a big plus, and the reason I say this is that I have been a Salesman most of my life and truly understand keeping customer satisfaction as number one priority. Gavin, yea bro, has been fantastic with all the staff he brings with him, let alone relations of the Newell family. The Crane crew were magnificent and we will never forget the lift, we attach photos. Thank you to all the Newell family and we wish you all continued success.

Initially we were looking at a 2 bedroom cottage for my mother to enjoy for independent living on our Banks Peninsula property, due to my father entering full time care her steadfast refusal to consider any form of care for herself. However after the first site visit, accompanied by the transport company Mackleys, it was patently obvious access limitations required thinking caps be reapplied. To cut a long story very short, the wonderful personalities within this long established family business facilitated the huge mental leap for my mother to consider the 1 bedroom option. Needing more space for ‘stuff’ and a 16 year old Burmese, an additional Studio unit was ordered. All steps along the way were superbly directed by Katie with fastidious and timely communication helping my Mother make necessary decisions, but most importantly, feel very special at every step of the way. Everything was simply perfect, and made trouble free - except for the Bureaucrats! I take my hat off to Selwyn District Council who outperformed CCC (where the structures are ultimately situated). Pathetic little unnecessary processes within the CCC caused a period of grief until a decent fellow within the Planning Department started exercising common sense and 'went into bat for us'. Do NOT be bullied by the bureaucrats who can inadvertently stifle good business and innovation. What was particularly nice about all the dealings with this project, is the multi-generational participation and goodwill throughout. The younger family members displaying a refreshing passion for taking this enterprise to a new level. The interactive dynamic of them all seems unique. Also a special acknowledgment to the young lady builder, Caroline, who basically built everything and finished to a really impressive standard. My mother has settled well into her new 'Granny' cottage environment, and even today stated “I love it”. Thus ensuring she does not need to contemplate alternate 'care options' for some while yet. Well done Cottage Co. and thank you!

Just a note to thank you both, and also Brian, Roger, and Ethan, and all your crew members, for building and delivering our most beautiful cottage to us. We absolutely love it - it's such a joy. You went above and beyond and let us make it our own by agreeing to mirror the design to better suit our section. It's wonderful and totally exceeds our expectations, which were already very high after seeing the first cottage in your yard. We appreciated the note welcoming us to our new home and also the thoughtful touch of leaving us with paint samples. We're so happy with it and can hardly believe we're so lucky. After travelling the country for seven years we feel we have come home and to such a gem of a house. I have to admit if I wake in the night I sometimes do a little dance across the carpet in the beautiful living room, just because I can. We love the doors and windows - we never believed aluminium could look so attractive, but the detail and the way you've crafted the timber frames and deep reveals, make them look like timber, but without the disadvantages. We are also impressed with the security aspect of the doors and love the way those on the veranda open so wide and latch back to the wall. The level of detail and craftmanship of the whole cottage is absolutely superb and something everybody comments on. Each room is our favourite as each has its own highlights.The bathroom is a luxury, the kitchen a dream, and the living room and bedrooms are so spacious and pretty. We've had such a lot of outside interest, as the cottage literally appeared overnight. Cars have been stopping at the roadside or coming up the drive for a better look. Many people have come in to ask us about it. Even the nursery staff next door called over the fence the day it arrived, "Everybody here wants one! And we love the colour!". You have created our dream house and we appreciate all the effort and craftmanship you have put into it, so very much.

Simply can't fault the service, the quality of the work and our guests just love our cottage to stay in. Highly recommend Warren and the team at Cottage Co. I would rate them at 5+ out of 5! Amazing team to work with, couldn't have made the process more satisfying. Katie took every opportunity to ensure the process was to our liking, kept up amazing communication throughout the build. Cottage Co kept in touch after the cottage arrived to make sure everything was just right. We chose the one bedroom cottage as a guest accommodation unit to be placed on our front lawn. It's been the talk of town ever since its arrived, and had many people visit to admire it. It's been very popular with guests, and we've had a high number of people extending their stay once they've arrived and fallen in love with it. The Cottage is built delightfully well - we can't fault a thing. We love the styling, the interior decoration, the ease of service connections for our electrician and plumber, convenience for cleaning most days, and the simplicity of the design. It makes the cottage seem much larger than it is, and with the deck area out the front it really is quite a luxurious feeling to spend time inside and out. It arrived in March, and even now every time I walk in I just can't help smiling. It makes me so happy, even 6 months later!! I can't recommend this team highly enough. Together with their engineer who went above and beyond to help us through the process, we feel very spoiled to have had the opportunity to make the Cottage Co part of life. Be ready to move at a fast pace once you've placed your order. They were on time, on budget, always friendly, and always listened to what we needed. If you're hanging in the balance wondering if you should purchase one of these amazing homes, know that it'll be one of the best investments you'll ever make. The return on investment is significant, and the advantage of having the cottage shifted on site means you don't have to worry about having builders and disruptions onsite for months. You're guaranteed a fixed price, and can still customise within the constraints of the basic design you choose. I truly hope there will come the opportunity for us to order another cottage off you soon - we're excited for round two!!
