What’s Not Included
Please note that we take care of all building consents, costs and inspections for your actual cottage. And it comes completely compliant & ready to connect to your site services. You will need to organise and pay for the following Site Related Costs:
- Drapes and venetians though Millers offer Cottage Co clients a great deal if you are looking for help with this
- Your site building consent fee with council for placing a dwelling on your site (council dependent on cost ($1,500-$2,000 if the only dwelling)
- Draftsman fee for drawing up site layout, drainage, cottage placement & submitting to council (please note we have a draftsman we can put you in contact with to help you through this process)
- Organise to have your services water/waste/power and internet connected (the Draftsman’s site plan will help with getting quotes and planning this work)
Please be aware that if you are planning on having a secondary dwelling, some councils have implemented an infrastructure/development fee that is site specific. You can check if this applies to you and what this cost would be by calling council.
